Norfolk Southern Train Crashes into a 18 Wheeler
On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, a Norfolk Southern train collided with an 18-wheel tractor-trailer in downtown Buford, Georgia, at the railroad crossing on Little Mill Road and Main Street around 3:00 p.m. The semi, hauling nursery plants, got stuck on the tracks when the train, unable to stop in time, plowed through the trailer, destroying it and scattering debris along the tracks. No injuries were reported to the train crew or others at the scene. The truck driver was not injured. |

That’s got to the most frustrating thing for the train engineer. They take miles to stop sometimes depending on the load and speed of the train. No way to stop it and avoid collision. |
