How Paul survived this wreck, no one knows. The first pic is of the wreck itself. Paul claims he was asleep at the wheel. Anyway, he was airlifted to hospital. Came away with 5 broken ribs, punctured lung, and a shattered shoulder and compound fracture of both radius and ulna in right arm.

once read there are more crashes happening caused by sleepy drivers than drunk pricks behind the wheel causing a crash.

The accident happened in Weatherford, TX. The road is being widened, and they had narrowed down to one lane. Paul was driving too fast, as per usual.

You're right - speed + sleep = bad wreck.

They do say that drivers who are asleep at the time of the crash have a better chance of survival. They are already in rag doll mode, and don't tense their body up like an alert person would do. That probably saved his life.
