Re: Motorcyclist Already Down from Crashing into Another Gets Run Over by a Third
Two of those involved in the accident did not have major injuries, while the pilot who was hit on the ground had to be sent to a nearby medical center. On August 13, the Third Regional Motospeed Validate was held in Valledupar, a competition in which more than 200 riders from the country participated. Although the organizers noted that the event took place successfully, however, a clash between competitors generated fear among spectators, as the race could have ended in tragedy. During a stretch of the course, two competitors collided at high speed , in what was considered a minor crash in which one of those involved requested medical assistance due to the pain he felt in his lower extremities. Another of the pilots prepared to help him while the designated ambulance arrived. However, while the two competitors were on the side of the road waiting for the arrival of health professionals, a rider did not notice the presence of these people on his route, so he ended up having a full impact of the person who was on the floor. The front tire of the motorcycle ended up hitting the back of the affected competitor , damaging the injuries that he already had after having crashed, so a precautionary lap had to be marked while the pilot was removed on a stretcher. This fact alerted the spectators in the valid, since the injured man stated that he was in great pain, so it was suspected that the blow could have compromised the mobility of his lower extremities, but fortunately this was not the case. The rider who received the two impacts suffered a clavicle fracture, which may take some time, up to 12 weeks, to recover. |
