Motorcycle Ride To Coma
Motorcycle Ride To Coma A motorcyclist was injured in an accident on Stachek Avenue: it happened the day before at half past ten in the evening. The footage taken by eyewitnesses shows the biker trying to get into the gap between two cars, but miscalculating the distance, hitting one of them, losing control, hitting and rolling over the other and ending up on the roadway. Seconds later, his friends rush to him, and an ambulance arrives a few minutes later. The unconscious pilot was taken to the hospital. |

Re: Motorcycle Ride To Coma
Splitting hell. The guy was trying to avoid rear-ending the car he hit by using the rear brake only and steer (not countersteer) to shoot the gap. The combination of braking and lateral movement caused the bike to fishtail. That sent the rider into a panic, and he released his pressure on the rear brake and tried to stick his leg down, 'cause at this point he just wanted the ride to stop and the bike wasn't cooperating. Releasing the brake allowed his fishtailing bike to straighten up, luckily, not directly rear-ending the SUV in front of him, but rather side-swiping it - so a small victory there, but in no part because of what he did correctly. Speed and inattention were causal factors. Sorry for the long assessment, it was what I used to do for a living, so yeah, it's kind of in my wheelhouse. |
