Brazil, A military police officer was injured during a chase of a stolen car on Friday afternoon (2).

According to the Military Brigade, a Ford Fiesta registered as a theft in state authorities' systems went through an electronic enclosure monitoring site.

Shortly before being caught in the video, the vehicle had already fled from the exit of a motel.

Police officers from the 1st Military Police Battalion and from the Ostensive Round with Motorcycle Support (Rocam) were automatically activated by the equipment and began looking for the vehicle. Several vehicles were mobilized.

During the chase, a police car crossed the roadway to join the convoy that was chasing the stolen car - collided with one of the motorcycles operated by a Brigadier. The PM, after the collision, slid down the runway and ended up near a gas station.

He was attended by colleagues, people who were in the commercial establishment and later by the emergency medical team.

The PM was injured in one of his legs and one of his arms. He will undergo surgery in the next few days. The officer's injuries were cracks in the radius of one of his legs and in the patella of his left arm.

The driver of the car was arrested by the Military Brigade. Drugs were found in the vehicle. The detained man was referred to the Civil Police. With him, money, drugs and ammunition were seized. As to the accident, as is an internal rule of the Military Brigade, an investigation was launched to investigate the facts.
