Mother and Daughter Run Over by a Truck when They Cross the Road
Brazil, A 72-year-old woman died after being hit by a truck on Thursday morning. Security camera video shows the moment she and her daughter, who is 42 years old and mentally disabled, try to cross the street and are hit by the truck. According to witnesses, the two had crossed the road to go to a bakery and on the way back, on seeing the red light for traffic, they both tried to cross the road. At the same moment the traffic light turned green for traffic so the truck started to drive hitting them both. One of the tires passed over the old woman's chest, who died instantly. The daughter was injured. The driver claimed that due to the height of the cab of the truck he could not see the two crossing in front of the vehicle. He remained at the scene and provided assistance to the victims until the arrival of Samu. The case will be investigated by the Civil Police. |
