Mexico, A minibus driver tries to outrun the train and is hit by the locomotive.

The emergency areas were immediately notified and Civil Protection, Firefighters and the Red Cross arrived at the scene, on Avenida Ayuntamiento corner with Avenida Escobedo, in the Colonia Centro de Tlalnepantla to assist possible victims.

As a result of the events, 4 people were injured, none of whom required transfer to a hospital.

The driver of Route 17 was arrested and placed at the disposal of the competent authorities, who will determine his legal situation.

Looks like inattention to me. I figure "outrunning" would involve more speed.

Lucky the train was travelling slowly.

Paasengers exiting the (mostly intact) minibus was really dangerous, but I guess that was instinctive rather than considered.
