Merchant on Bike Dies After His Skidding Bike Ends Up Under Bus Wheels
India, A 29-year-old diamond manufacturer, Nikunj S, died in a road accident after his motorcycle skidded while overtaking a bus and he was crushed under its rear wheel. His pillion rider suffered minor injuries. The bus did not stop after the fatal accident. However, passers-by rushed to help the victims. Police officers who were passing by stopping at the accident site shortly after the incident. The victim was taken to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead. |

Sometimes you catch the bus. Sometimes the bus catches you. Even taking into account the poor safety record of Indian buses, I think the safer option for him would have been to travel inside the bus rather than outside. At least there is a chance you will be protected from trains, dump trucks, concrete mixers and elephants. |
