Married Couple, Both Doctors Die when Their BMW Hit a Truck Head-on
Brazil. A couple of doctors died in a serious accident on Monday afternoon (15). The car driven by the man, 70, and his wife, 60, collided head-on with a truck. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the BMW was overtaking in an allowed place, when it hit a truck that drove in the opposite direction. The husband died on the spot. His wife was sent in a serious condition to the Emergency Care Hospital, but did not resist her injuries. The truck driver was not injured. |

 That should have been survivable... the passenger cab was barely infiltrated. They must not have had their seat belts on. You'd think that doctors would do everything they could to prolong life... Wear your seat belts!!!

The problem was the rapid acceleration of the people inside the BMW. The body's organs keep going at whatever speed they had been traveling, then stop suddenly against, say, the inside of the skull, the breast bone and ribs. There would have had to be a lot of room to decelerate inside the vehicle to survive. Too many Gs. Kaput! |
