Just pieces of the car, not humans. The car slowed down enough not to send a human airborne, it was just the plastic rubble from the impact with the barrier.

Ah ha. I tried going frame by frame, but wasn't able to see much of what was flying around. I did notice the little boy get tossed around and then picked up by maybe his dad.  |

I paused it right at the point where you start to see stuff flying, you can clearly see limbs and a person getting airborne.

Looked to me like both a woman and a man went airborne for about 6 to 8 feet and landed in front of the white BMW. Definitely tell both were in serious pain.

Some blame must lie with the spectators too! Who in the right mind would put themselves in that position? It's exactly the same with motor car rallying... They put themselves at enormous risk...as I'm sure that you have all seen footage of rally cars going into the crowds...  |
