Re: Man Falling Asleep at Wheel Ends Badly
I don’t tried that once, taking a nap behind the wheel. I woke up when my car drifted into those bumpy reflective dots we call “city titties”. Woke my ass up REAL quick, just before I was about to hit a concrete wall in the median. Scare the shit out of me. I take my naps in bed now.

Re: Man Falling Asleep at Wheel Ends Badly
None wearing seatbelts. He somehow ended up with upper body out of the window...right? Am I seeing his tattooed belly area? I used to deliver papers in the very early mornings. One morning, heading home after delivering, I dozed off, while driving on a highway. And I jolted awake realized I was about to crash into the highway wall thing. I was freaking out but had enough sense to correct my wheel and brake without jerking the steering wheel. That was such an eye opener for me though. If I felt sleepy while delivering the papers, I’d pull over in a parking lot and take a 15 minute nap. And then if I felt sleepy after finishing delivering, I’d go to this park and takeover a 20-30 minute nap. Then I moved out of state and would have to drive 400+ miles to visit family. I was not one used to driving such long distances and was not taking chances, so I would stop every 2-3 hours. |
