I remember in the old days when playing outside, you would hear a screech of tires, and you would think to yourself 'the thump is next', and Yes, then you heard a thump. Nowadays, due to anti-lock brakes, you never hear a screech, just the thump. I'm thinking this vehicle did not have anti-lock brakes.

In slow-mo, kid smacks the lower part of the back of his skull, (aka where ones brain stem attaches to top of spine), off of rear quarter panel of second car. Kid was likely DRT. (Dead right there)
