Lady on Camera in Suspected Co. Springs DUI Crash Sentenced for DUI Twice Prior

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV)
It was an intense scene along the interstate shortly before noon Monday 01/21) as a driver ricocheted back and forth along the Rockrimmon on-ramp before flipping her car into a ditch.

On Tuesday, police identified the woman as Nicole McGraw and said she is suspected of driving under the influence. Alcohol is suspected in the crash. 11 News learned through court records McGraw has been sentenced twice before for DUI.

The people driving behind her caught the whole thing on camera. The eyewitnesses tell 11 News they were shocked to see that even after smashing into a wall, the driver continued trying to get on the highway.

The rollover caused significant backups on I-25 during the lunch hour as police responded to the scene.

Amazingly, despite the vehicle landing on its roof, the woman behind the wheel was not seriously injured.

The woman was the only person in the vehicle.

Initially, 11 News was told by police that a dog was trapped inside the SUV, but police later said they were mistaken and the dog was at its home the whole time.

The rollover was third of four for just the first half of Monday.
