Children, and even teenagers, have brains that are chemically different from adults. We can't expect kids to act like adults, even with something as "simple" as crossing the road. I'm sure many of us have seen cctv videos where *adults* cross the road without looking where they're going. We can't expect kids to be smarter or more aware than them.

I wasn't saying that I expected children to be smarter than adults...I just think that life is filled with little tests that must be passed to reach adulthood and the age to reproduce. I think in this case the child failed the test and will unfortunately not make it to reproduce. This is classic Darwinism. The parent, who was obviously an imbecile, had his progeny cancelled...God only knows what other issues that guy's kid had going for him. I just think that given the idiot parent and idiot kid, it might have been best that the kid's ticket got punched so quickly.

This guy is on to something. It's just the harsh reality of what he's saying. Even when I was a kid, I knew better to look both ways before bolting out across the street. Then again, I see so much of this crap in the ghetto that I live in that it doesn't surprise me. Parent's just don't teach their kids these things now. |
