Three people were injured in an accident in Maltepe, Turkey when 2 cars collided at an intersection. One of the vehicles caught fire after the collision.

The accident occurred around 02:00 on Turgut Özal Boulevard in Yalı Neighborhood. Allegedly, the car driven by Enes E. (25) and the car driven by Efekan Y. (29) collided at the intersection. An explosion occurred in one of the vehicles that was thrown off course by the impact of the accident.

Following the explosion, the car burst into flames and began to burn. Upon notification, medical, fire and police teams were dispatched to the scene.

In the accident, the drivers Enes E. and Efekan Y. and the passenger Furkan Ş. (27) were injured.

After the first aid by the medical teams, the injured were taken to the hospital by ambulances and treated. Burak Can A. (25), who was in the car, was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The accident was recorded by a motorcyclist's helmet camera while he was waiting at a red light.

Police investigations into the accident are ongoing.
