I'm guessing there's a reason for that thick continuous line on the road, meaning don't cross it or you'll hit the median strip?

Re: Jeep Vs Silverado Accident on Interstate 275, Tampa
I didn't expect the jeep to come to such an abrupt stop. Normally when a car hits a median, it glances off of it and keeps going forward. In this case the jeep must have contacted an uneven break in the median wall at just the right angle, bringing it to an immediate stop. The cam vehicle had no time to react. *IMHO*

Re: Jeep Vs Silverado Accident on Interstate 275, Tampa
Even if someone is driving defensively and paying close attention to surrounding traffic they may lack the mental and/or physical attributes to avoid the ignorance of others. Reaction time is also further reduced from distractions such as cell phones, being in a hurry to reach their destination or otherwise. In this particular case, I believe the driver was distracted by the music which is clearly playing in the background instead of keeping his full attention on the road. There could have been other distractions, as listed previously, yet I have not found any evidence to support my purported 'gut' instinct, per se. |
