In the early hours Sunday a pursuit motivated by jealousy ended in tragedy in the Campo Limpo neighborhood, in the south zone of São Paulo.

Around 3 a.m., a car driven by a 21-year-old young woman, identified as Geovanna P. da S, chased and hit a motorcycle on which Raphael C. C, 21 years old, and Joyce C. da S, 19 years old, were riding, who died at the scene of the impact.

Before the hit-and-run, the suspect sent threatening messages to people who were participating in a barbecue at the young man's house. His girlfriend, Geovanna P, was not present and began sending messages questioning the presence of women she did not know.

After an argument, Raphael left on his motorcycle and gave a ride to his friend, Joyce.

According to witnesses, Geovanna left in her car shortly after, chased the motorcycle at high speed, and slammed into both of them.

The impact threw the victims approximately 30 meters, and they died at the scene.

looks like she probably mushed the people between her car and the parked van, I only see bike parts fly out from the wreck. Pictures of the bodies might be interesting. It looked like she might have swerved to hit them. Might not help her case if she claims she didn't see them, what do you think?

Geovanna reportedly sent threatening WhatsApp messages to Raphael and others shortly before the incident, including phrases like "Ou você resolve, ou eu resolvo" ("You resolve it, or I will"), "Não quero mulher aí" ("I don't want women there"), and "Quebrar ele e tudo que tem aí" ("Break him and everything there").

After the crash, Geovanna exited her car, looked at the bodies, and walked away calmly, as captured in newly released footage.

Her stepmother, who was in the car, claimed she urged Geovanna to stop but was ignored, and explained their flight from the scene due to fear of a mob attack by locals.

Geovanna was arrested at the scene after an attempted lynching by bystanders.

The couple had been dating for about a month, and Geovanna had a history of jealousy issues.

Geovanna was transferred to the Penitenciária Feminina de Sant'Anna in São Paulo.

Court documents reveal Geovanna has been treating severe depression with medication and has a history of suicidal ideation and attempts, which were factored into the decision but did not lead to her release.
