I've been in that station when in vacation. Fortunately, there is a big gap in between the floor and the train. The problem was that these two girls had the same boyfriend apparently, that is the reason they did that... jealousy. I'll attach a photo to prove I've been there lol.  |

Translation of the news report (not the studio bits): Voiceover: "Keep your eye on these two women (on-screen caption "It seemed like a normal day"). The two were captured on security camera on the platform of the Iztapalapa metro station. It happened on the 6th June. It was 12:31 in the afternoon. The two women were seen in discussion for a few minutes. Then one goes to make a phone call. The other follows her but also closely observes the arriving train. Then the unexpected happened. Just as the train arrives in the station the black woman pushes the other towards the tracks (caption "One woman attacked another and they both fell onto the tracks"). The woman dressed as a nurse resists, but in vain: they both fall onto the tracks. But thanks to the expertise of the train driver the train is able to be stopped just before it runs over them." Ricardo Quevedo: "She (the black woman) is now claiming that because she (the other woman) started a relationship with her ex-boyfriend she blames her for him breaking up with her." Voiceover: "Incredibly the woman in white gets back up (caption "a guard helped one of them back up"). With the help of an official she gets off the tracks and disappears from the scene. Later she's intercepted by the police then immediately taken to the offices of the Ministerio Publico. The metro carriages are immediately emptied. The black woman, apparently more injured, remains on the tracks. She moves one of her legs and is seen making a phone call. After being attended by paramedics she is taken to Balbuena hospital in Mexico City." Franciso Bojórquez: "They were lucky. The truth is that what happened was a miracle, and it's a unique case. It's a very serious attack. An attack of this nature can cause death, or very very serious injuries." Ricardo Quevedo (again): "It can be determined from what happened that she had a plan, she planned to take the woman's life, to the extent that on two occasions she looked to see if the train was coming." Voiceover: "Today the woman, Grisel Romero Alanís, 27 years old, is in Santa Martha prison, facing a trial for attempted murder. She could spend almost 20 years in prison.
