India + Train, You Know the Rest.
This incident occurred when the Farakka Express, traveling from Delhi to Malda, was arriving at platform number 1. at the Bakhtiyarpur railway station. At the same time, two women were trying to cross the tracks to climb onto the platform. Before the women could climb onto the platform, the train sped through, tearing them apart, and both women's bodies were mangled on the spot, leading to their tragic and painful deaths. Some people had stepped forward to help the women onto the platform, but the train was moving at such high speed that they retreated in fear and failed to save the women. |

Had they ran the other way rather than trying to get on the platform, there would have been time to escape their grim fate. But it's human nature, the engagement bias. With a pinch of wasted spending.  |
