There is a warning on the Jaguar Enthusiast web site from a few years back, stating that if you hit a deer, a horse, or a cow with your XK-8, the animal will rotate as it slides along the hood, and will go through the windshield hooves-first, killing or severely injuring the driver and passenger. My wife hit a deer in Wisconsin, and totaled her car, but she wasn't hurt. Her family jokes that she's the only member of her family to ever actually kill a deer. The rest of them just get hangovers, but no deer.

Deers are well documented deadly predators of Jaguars. Cows too.
