Hyundai Sedan Suddenly Accelerated Hitting Pedestrians
Philippines, At least 16 people were injured after a car plowed into a group of pedestrians walking along a road. Police said the engine of a Hyundai sedan being driven by a male suddenly malfunctioned and accelerated as it was about to leave the parking area near a church compound around 2:20 p.m. Police said the runaway car plowed into the victims walking along the street and hit and damaged several parked vehicles. CCTV shows the out of control car hitting a pedestrian who catches some air and landing further down the side of the road. Police said that the driver claimed that he applied foot and hand brakes but still failed to stop the vehicle due to rapid acceleration. The victims were brought to a local hospital for treatment but those who sustained serious injuries were transferred to two other hospitals. The driver is detained and held in a police jail as police investigation continues. |

Re: Hyundai Sedan Suddenly Accelerated Hitting Pedestrians
Yeah right. Just like all those "sudden acceleration" incidents with Toyota cars a few years back. Most of that was due to dumbfucks allowing the floor mats to get smashed up under the pedals. I betcha that's an IO error... Idiot Operator error. |
