I'm old enough to remember when pinball machines gave you five balls for a quarter. The last time I played one (2019) it was three balls for a dollar.

free ball.  In an unsettling incident on July 26, 2023, in Novosibirsk, Russia, a pedestrian's reckless attempt to cross the road ended in a powerful collision that left him unconscious and injured. Ignoring the oncoming traffic, the pedestrian dashed across the road without caution, only to be struck by a vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The impact sent him flying, and he crashed into a parked car along the roadside. Swift action from his companion prevented further harm, as the friend promptly dragged the injured pedestrian to the sidewalk and administered initial first aid. However, tensions escalated as the driver of the vehicle that was hit expressed indignation over the incident. The injured pedestrian was subsequently rushed to the hospital, his current condition remaining uncertain. |
