So, instead of putting the car into Park, he put it into Reverse and as soon as he took his foot off of the brake, it jetted on out of there.
I don't know. Every car that I have had if you take your foot off of the brake, it gently starts to creep backwards, and not race away as seen in this video.

Yup. It reversed clean out of there, forcing the driver to call for back-up.
