News A fatal car accident occurred on the Kak Tin Highway in Ba Heung. A heavy truck transporting concrete, driven by a 55-year-old male driver, was traveling along the slow lane of Jin Tin Highway towards Ba Heung at about 8.30am today when it hit a woman at a pedestrian crossing opposite Gao Po Village. The 63-year-old woman, surnamed Yu, was taken to Hospital by ambulance for emergency treatment. She was later transferred to Tuen Mun Hospital and died at 1.39pm. Police said the Northern New Territories Traffic Department Special Investigation Team was following up on the investigation and urged anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information to contact investigators at 3661-3800. |
