A private car ran onto the sidewalk in Lin Hing Street, Kowloon Bay, injuring nine people, involving seven men and two women. The driver’s wife was in the front passenger seat when she was thrown out of the vehicle. Tsai said her injuries were serious, including injuries to her head and ribs. Eight people were also injured on the walkway, including varying degrees of abrasions and bumps to their heads, hands and feet, and their bodies, all conscious; Four of them were in serious condition yesterday afternoon, while the remaining four were in stable condition. He said he saw three of the injured lying on the ground motionless and believed they were seriously injured, while the rest were still able to move and most expressed pain.
