Re: Hong Kong Bus And A Road Repair Truck On A Highway
News More than 20 people were injured when a KMB bus collided with a construction vehicle on Tsing Kwai Highway near Margaret Hospital near 2pm today (25th May 2026). The car cam footage at the moment of the incident was exposed, showing that the KMB involved in the accident did not slow down and crashed straight into the arrow construction vehicle in the road. Parts scattered and dust flew. The arrow car was pushed forward several parking spaces by KMB after the collision. A person standing in front was almost hit. Fortunately, he escaped in time to save his life. He ran across two lanes to the separating stone barrier. The KMB bus was still unable to stop, but it rushed forward and hit another arrow construction vehicle before stopping. The video shows a truck and a KMB parked in the road ahead of the arrow car. KMB said in response to an inquiry from our news reporter that a KMB bus route 960 bound for Tuen Mun had an accident with two construction vehicles parked in the second lane of the road while traveling near Lai Chi Kok Park on Tsing Kwai Highway. Preliminary information shows that the driver and 22 passengers were injured. KMB has sent staff to express condolences to the injured and will cooperate with police to investigate the cause. The Department of Transport announced that part of the traffic lane on Tsing Kwai Highway (towards the airport) near Margaret Hospital has been closed due to a traffic accident. Motorists may only use the remaining lanes to drive. The above-mentioned place is now busy with traffic. |

Must indeed be sleepy or distracted by phone or medical condition as those big bus windows have clear view of any big arrow vehicle just in front of you. The bus driver, 39, who was slightly injured, was arrested for dangerous driving.
