could have been prevented, the guy that made the turn is not at fault, the gut that hit him had several problems,1. he was driving way to fast, look at the trafic ahead of the accident.2.he must always be able to control his car, if he had hit the one in front in the side rear it would be one thing but he hit him square in the rear. the fact is his speed kept him from having control!

I see the turning car get into the left lane...Would it been the end of the world to wait for a second and get in the lane closest to your car then merge to the further lane?
