I am a hang glider pilot. This guy was attempting to do a loop with insufficient air speed and did not make it over the top. He did throw his emergency chute. Hang gliding in general is very safe. Most of the injuries and deaths spur from doing aerobatics such as this one. This guy was obviously not trained to do aerobatics.
