Reminds me of the time I was walking out of a Borders Bookstore (when they were still around) to my car. I had just walked past this elderly man in an old Lincoln Continental just as he put it in reverse to back out of a parking space...his foot slipped off the brake, mashed down on the gas peddle and that Lincoln took off like a rocket across the lot and slammed into two other parked cars. I was perhaps three feet past his path when he crashed...  No injuries, just three fucked up cars and one very shook up old man...but it did give me pause to be far more cautious when I walk through parking lots every since...  |
