When I was in Russia, the first thing you noticed was that people just don't really help others in need...at all. The whole Judeao Christian thing just doesn't register there yet...they have a philosophy of why would I help you...what's in it for me. They'll come around, but it's gonna take a while.

I don't think it's anything to do with religion. I'm as atheistic as they get and yet I'm usually the first to help out when there's a problem. Sure as hell didn't learn to do that from a bible.
