Re: Gunpowder Residue Catches Fire at Indoor Shooting Range

Looks like their half-assed, flammable soundproofing got ignited by sparks from firing. That jerry-rigged "range" looked like a deathtrap-waiting-to-happen.

Re: Gunpowder Residue Catches Fire at Indoor Shooting Range

It's not really surprising that a shooting range in Brazil would not be ventilated......BRAZIL

Re: Gunpowder Residue Catches Fire at Indoor Shooting Range

There are multiple factors at play here first and foremost is the very cheap ammunition they are using you can see the haze inside the range from powder that burned and didn’t burn, lack of ventilation was the second issue the super heated gases in the air are just waiting for the right spark to set things in motion also it looks like it was a piece of ballistic material on the floor that first ignited if it was just gases and gun powder the flame wouldn’t have started so low

Re: Gunpowder Residue Catches Fire at Indoor Shooting Range

Look like rubber less leathal shells or training rds.
Also, the way the powder is slow to ignite makes me wonder
if these shells had the wrong type/amount of charge,
thus spewing excess unburnt powder everywhere.
Brazil is not really known for producing high quality
small arms & ammunition manufacturing.
If you value your eyes, hands & face, avoid any guns or ammo made in Brazil.

Have to completely disagree on every point you made. Taurus Brazil made excellent firearms Berretta Brazil again made excellent firearms Para Ordance Brazil was top shelf FNH had a plant there I mean really the list of mid to high end firearms made there at any given time have all proven out to be great. Those are definitely not LTL rounds they have way to much flash. I mean I’m only an expert in the field of everything firearms related so don’t take my word for it

Re: Gunpowder Residue Catches Fire at Indoor Shooting Range

The shot shell’s made em look like blunderbuss’s.certainly not your Winchester X. An absence of recoil screams light or a training round. Military at one time used paper bullets for orientation. They were spewing charcoal on the floor for who knows how long. A gas build up would have settled but it is not why the sound proof went up. The reason for this incident was poor housekeeping. If it had been gases accumulating you would have seen experts in their fields being condescending cunts.
