Tamara Urushadze was a Georgian jouralist during the 2008 South Ossetia war, and gained fame when she was shot by a Russian or South Ossetian sniper on live Television.

Shooting
32-year old Urushadze was in Gori, Georgia at the time of the shooting. The occupation of Gori had been won by Russian and South Ossetian troops. Urushadze is seen in a live news shoot, soon to spread all over the internet, reporting on the situation in Gori. Meanwhile, Russian snipers were still present, and many South Ossetian snipers were drunkedly taking potshots at people. As she is standing on a street, reporting on the humanitarian situation, a few dull "thumps" are heard, and Urushadze runs to the left, hit in the arm. She is gently lowered down by a man later, and is soon escorted to a van. Urushadze is soon seen in a van, showing her grazed arm to viewers, and still trying to continiue reporting. She was taken to a hospital, here she received a visit from American secretary of state Condoleezza Rice. The video soon appeared all over the internet, including widely used websites such as Youtube and Google. It was also seen live. Because of this, many people all around the world saw the video of the incident.

1)What a shit sniper, she was standing still and it grazed her wrist. Which makes me think it was either a ricochet or something.

2)Probably the Ossetians, since Russia was pro reporting and it was the Ossetians that were anti.
