It's a BLEVE! Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosion. There's a combustible gas under pressure in a tank so it's partially in liquid form. The fire caused it to boil until it ruptures the tank at which point it expands like steam rapidly until it reaches a combustible mixture with the surrounding atmosphere and then it burns |
