Garbage Truck Driver Killed After Hitting a 10 Ton Steel Plate
In the early morning of March 27, 2026, a fatal accident occurred on Nguyen Huu Tho Street at the foot of the Kenh Te Bridge (District 7 toward District 4) involving a garbage truck and a tractor-trailer. Around 2:00 a.m, a tractor-trailer carrying a crescent-shaped steel plate, 15 meters long, weighing over 10 tons, collided with a garbage truck traveling in the opposite direction. The massive steel plate slid off the trailer and crushed the cabin of the garbage truck, trapping the driver inside. The garbage truck driver sustained severe injuries and tragically passed away after being rushed to the hospital. Preliminary findings indicate that upon reaching the foot of the Kenh Te Bridge, the tractor-trailer collided head-on with the garbage truck. The force of the impact was so significant that the chains securing the 10-ton steel plate snapped, allowing it to slide forward and crush the garbage truck cabin. |

I was so busy looking at the oncoming truck that I didn't even see him. I guess that was him walking out from under it at the end of the vid. Lucky bastard.
