Four Year-old Boy Playing a Scooter Run Over by a Car

The video, filmed on June 27 in Suining City, shows the boy was playing unattended on the street in front of a residential area when a car drove out slowly from inside, hit and crushed on the boy who was in the blind zone of the car.

An owner of a nearby store witnessed the accident and shouted for the driver to stop the car.

"I saw the boy playing his scooter just before my store. I was making a phone call and saw the car run over him. I shouted for help and the driver stopped the car," said the store owner.

Meanwhile, more drivers and pedestrians became aware of the situation and came to join in the rescue. In the following minutes, they succeeded in lifting the car up and saved the boy who was sent to hospital immediately.

"There was an apparent malformation in his right part of the lower limbs when the boy was sent to our hospital. The X-ray film later showed that it was a fracture in his right femoral shaft, kind of serious," said Li Youfu, doctor of Suining Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Thanks to timely medical treatment, the boy is now in a stable condition and recovering well.
