Re: Flattened
2012. A truck loaded with cement suddenly overturned on its side at a gas station in Shangyou, Jiangxi Province, China. It literally crushed two cars parked at the gas station. Two people were killed and four others were injured. According to security camera footage, a black car pulled up to a gas station at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. The driver got out and suddenly a cement tanker truck overturned on his car, completely crushing it. Footage from another camera showed how the heavy truck also destroyed another silver car. The driver of the black car immediately ran to his car and began to rescue the injured. He managed to free a woman from the crushed metal sheet, and a senior citizen was also saved. Other victims had to be rescued by firefighters, the last one was not removed from the crushed cars until three hours later. People who were at the gas station at the time also tried to help, but without special equipment they could not do much. The injured are being treated at a local hospital. The driver of the tanker has been detained by police, who are investigating the accident. |
