Re: Flashing Headlights when Overtaking Left and Right Goes Wrong
That was the Indian "I'm gonna crash now" signal. |

The last vehicle he was undertaking began to move into his lane and he totally overreacted. Classic case of utter bell end.

Re: Flashing Headlights when Overtaking Left and Right Goes Wrong
Huh... Now I'm confused as fuck. I really thought flashing your lights was condition-based. 1. Flashing your lights behind a car in the left lane means get the fuck out of my way before I have to illegally pass on the right. 2. Towards oncoming cars, either speed trap ahead, or turn on your fn lights. 3. If in the right lane, it tells the driver in front of you, all good man, come get in my way, we're cool. 4. Car is stolen But I really like the flashing my right of way everywhere. Really simplifies things. |

Re: Flashing Headlights when Overtaking Left and Right Goes Wrong
When he swerved, he oversteered in both directions. In his second turn hard left, he threw his car into a slide, then the tires caught traction with his car pointed kind of sideways. I faced a similar situation at speed where I had to swerve into a shoulder to avoid a head-on with a car in my lane. I stutter-steered right-left-right in quick succession, and ended up back in my original travel lane moving straight ahead like nothing happened. I immediately laughed because (1) I nailed the move so perfectly, and (2) I was imagining that the oncoming car driver, frozen in inaction, had totally shit his pants. I do similar moves on 2-wheels all the time, so 4-wheels is child's play, apparently. |

On topic, I agree that flashing driver is an obsessive-compulsive idiot with a lead foot and zero driving skillz. I can only hope he kills himself before he kills or injures more innocents. |
