Fireworks Factory Catches Fire, Killing One
India, One person was killed in a fire accident at a fireworks manufacturing unit in Athipallam village near Viralimalai in the district on Monday, police said. The explosion could have been triggered by sparks from the welding work taken up at the unit's warehouse, police said. One person, who was later identified as Karthik died in the accident while another worker was admitted to the government hospital at Manaparai with burns. Fire and Rescue Service personnel who rushed to the unit put out the flames. Police have registered a case and are investigating. |

Judging from what I've seen on DR, if I had to make a choice between being homeless or working in an Asian firework factory, just forward my mail to under the nearest overpass. I'll be the guy in the blue tarp. |

So many people in India, swarming on the rooftops to see the free show. If fireworks or chemicals detonated, there would be lot's o' casualties. Runaway firework conflagrations are like huge sea port storage fertilizer fires, rocket motor fuel factory fires, airshows and blacks, you need to put distance between yourself and them pronto..
