Firefighter Trying to Save an Unconscious Electrocuted Guy from Roof Goes Wrong
A video where a man has suffered electric shocks shows a firefighter trying to move the victim's arm from the wire using a long piece of wood early Wednesday afternoon in Brazil. However doing so, the victim, who was unconscious, fell from the roof. The procedure performed by the firefighter, is not standard, but by not having equipment in the vehicle and in order to save the victim, the firefighter had to act quickly. The first responding vehicle that arrived in the event was a rescue vehicle, because it returned from another occurrence the vehicle in question had not the material for such a procedure since the search and rescue vehicle was activated and was on the move. When the victim fell he was unconscious and receives another electric shock. As for the firefighter using a wooden stick, the Major replied, "incredible as it may seem but the firefighter's procedure to use a wooden stick is a way of not receiving an electric discharge." In such a situation, to save the victim, a normal person could also have used a wooden stick. A team was sent to shut down the power grid, but there was no time to get there. The victim who received the electric discharge was rescued and referred to the Regional Hospital. There is still no information on the state of health. |
