Re: Fighter jet crash at air show event

I think it was 83 who dies at this show, I saw a clip where the cameraman ran towards the wreckage while everyone was running away, there were people splattered all over, pretty sick.

Re: Fighter jet crash at air show event

Ejector seats are designed to be functional even at the last second. I think this is a total professional who refused to give up till the last second, then he jumped ship. I have a vid of something similar to this, I'll post it in a second.
This is a total moron. Any good pilot would have tried to steer the plane away from the crowd.

Found the vid, and no not a professional, he was sentenced to 14 years in prison for this crash. However, I still stand by the functions of the ejector seat.

And I did base my OP on a single image and no knowledge of the outcome or the cause. Yes, I am a total idiot for giving the man the benefit of the doubt, you're right.

Obviously you are not a pilot. When a plane has a failure, you could very well loose all flight controls with nothing left to do but eject or bail out. I'm not saying that is the case here but it is not always possible to do much with a dead stick!
