Female Driver Hits Woman and Her Suitcase Standing on the Sidewalk
In the Phu Tho province, Vietnam, a white passenger car drove onto the sidewalk, struck a young woman waiting there with her suitcase, and immediately left the scene. The victim, Ms. N.T.N, 31, was thrown at a significant distance. She got injured and taken by relatives to a medical facility. Her condition is stable, though she suffered several scrapes and impact injuries. The white car was making a right turn while a truck from the opposite direction was turning left. The car driver reportedly lost control while avoiding the truck or mistakenly pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake, causing the vehicle to lunge onto the sidewalk. The female driver was identified as Đ.T.T.N, 45, and the police Team of the Phu Tho Provincial Police summoned Mrs. N. to clarify her actions. The case is currently under further investigation for legal processing. |

She wasn't driving. She had her suitcase. She was flying. I SHOULD say, "Frying"  |

It LOOKS like the victim whipped out her cel phone just prior to impact. If so, amazing how fast Loss of Situational Awareness can set in if one is well-accustomed to the transition, I guess?

Well, I wanted her to be able to understand me when I was whispering in her ear, while waiting for the ambulance. I think it's more polite and considerate when you speak to them in the local dialect. I got this advice from Politenessman many years ago! "Did you have a nice fright?"  |
