Re: Family's Powerboat Plows into a Large Wake Injuring 7 Boaters *video*
None of them looked very happy before the crash, and U bet they weren't happy puppies afterwards. A mouth full of broken teeth and a belly full of bust ribs is guaranteed to ruin anybody's day. The guy at the helm needs to learn a little bit about watching for waves and wakes, as it is like hitting concrete at that sort of speed. |

Re: Family's Powerboat Plows into a Large Wake Injuring 7 Boaters *video*
I just noticed this on the news a few minutes ago and uploaded it with story and video as found. Personally, I find this speedboat pilot to be a careless and irresponsible person who should have his boat impounded until he gets some safety training. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Tuesday, September 4, 2012 4:40pm PDT Bizarre speedboat accident at Lake of the Ozarks caught on videotape By: Pete Thomas, GrindTV.com Seven boaters were injured and five were hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries as a result of a bizarre accident--which was caught on videotape--Friday on Missouri's Lake of the Ozarks. Viewers can fast-forward to the 1:16 mark of the first video, which is a news compilation by Lake TV, or find just the incident in the second video, which borrows Lake TV footage. Viewers should note that the footage shows the extremely violent nature of an accident that occurred when the powerboat Fountain encountered wakes caused by another boat. As viewers can see, none of the passengers was wearing a life jacket or any kind of protective gear, while clearly traveling at high speed. Both videos are making the rounds on Facebook, where one person astutely commented: |

Ahh Lake of the Ozarks is a beautiful place... O/T- They're damn lucky. And damn stupid. Next time you do something dumb like this at least be considerate enough to wear a life vest. It'll make recovering your body much easier. |
