Excavator Operator Jumps for Safety After Hill Slide
Mexico. Video released this Friday confirmed the accident that occurred on June 4 on Pashle Hill, also known as Narro Hill, in the municipality of Santo Domingo Tepuxtepec, in the Mixe indigenous area. The video captured at the time of the accident shows how a worker runs desperate, due to the detachment of the hill, however, he is hit by the avalanche, being buried among tons of earth. The worker managed to survive , thanks to the timely intervention of his colleagues, confirmed the municipal presidency of Tepuxtepec, who detailed that the man was admitted to a hospital, where apparently he is recovering favorably. The incident happened during the construction of the works of the Oaxaca-Istmo superhighway , which crosses the Mixe zone of the Sierra Norte , in charge of the Grupo Carso company, which resumed the work, once the federation resolved the pending financial. The commitment of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador is to conclude the works in this six-year term, which will undoubtedly detonate the investment and development of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. |
