Two motorists (26 and 53) have been injured in a serious accident - one of the two men remains in critical condition.

the 53-year-old was trapped in his VW Golf. The firefighters broke off the roof of the car to rescue the man before he was transported to the hospital.

The second driver (26) was not trapped in his Seat Cordoba, but also seriously injured.

the 53-year-old man drove his golf "apparently high speed" on the Gladbeckerstraße northbound and rear-ended the seat driver and the golf hit a tree and the engine broke out of the vehicle and hit a gas pump.
