Burundi. Army spokesperson Brigadier General Gaspard Baratuza confirmed that a "serious electrical accident" triggered a fire at an ammunition depot within the Musaga military camp.

There are currently no official figures for casualties, but reports indicate that projectiles hit residential homes in surrounding areas, causing significant damage.

The blasts shattered windows in nearby neighborhoods like Gasekebuye and Musaga.

Witnesses reported hearing both loud explosions and sustained gunfire as munitions cooked off.
