Drunk Motorist Runs Over a 10 Year Old Girl
Last Saturday, a drunk driver, José Baez, 44, was driving a blue Renault Sedan when, according to witnesses, he performed dangerous maneuvers before running over the girl. The breathalyzer test revealed that the man had 2.44g/l of alcohol in his system, in addition to having three bottles of whiskey in the vehicle. The impact left a 10-year-old girl seriously injured, with fractures, chest trauma and bruises on the head. After the crash, Baez tried to escape from the scene, but the authorities managed to stop him on the streets of Almirante Brown and 144. The man was hostile during his arrest, according to the officers present. He was later transferred to the Second Police Station in the town. The case is being processed by the 10th Prosecutor's Office for Culpable Crimes in La Plata due to the driver's alcohol intoxication, which constitutes an aggravating factor in the case. The girl, who was taken to the Cestino Hospital in Punta Lara, remains hospitalized due to the severity of her injuries. Doctors confirmed that she suffered a fractured femur, as well as trauma to the chest and bruises to the head. Her health status is still being evaluated by medical professionals. |

Really bad parenting. It’s their fault she was hit by the car. They should be charged with negligence along with the driver facing his own charges.  |
