Police have arrested a man who allegedly hit two pedestrians while driving under the influence in the city of Fuzhou, east China's Jiangxi Province.

Surveillance video captured a southbound black car hitting a man and woman at a pedestrian crossing at around 20:50 Thursday.

In the footage, it appears the driver got out of his vehicle after hitting the two, but forgets to take the car out of drive. The car then rolled over the injured woman as the man tried to stop the vehicle.

After that, it appears the driver may have accidentally sped up, or decided for a split second to speed away.

Drunk drivers should be given a sentence of playing Russian Roulette with a half-filled revolver, given they put everyone else's lives at risk when they get behind the wheel.
