Drunk Driver Smashes into Gate and Entrance of a House
India. A drunk driver smashed his vehicle through the guard room at the entrance and broke through the main gate of a private residence. Police identified the driver as Karan B, who was found to be in an intoxicated stat" at the time. The security guard on duty narrowly escaped because he had stepped away to drink water just a minute before the impact. The house is owned by an Assistant Regional Transport Officer and at the time of the crash, the house was mostly empty as the officer is currently posted in an other town and had traveled there with his wife, Sheela, just two days prior. Their children live away from home for their studies. Following the crash, the driver and his companions allegedly assaulted the security guard before being apprehended by local residents and handed over to the police. An FIR has been registered based on a complaint filed by Sheela. |
