Someone on this website made a comment that when you are in such a situation as this, you should maneuver your vehicle to go towards the side the oncoming vehicle has traveled from. So instead of moving towards the same direction the oncoming vehicle is going, move your vehicle towards the place it had just been coming from. So when I have watched accident vids like this, you see how that makes alot of sense. But, in that situation you can only hope that you'll think lightning quick. :/ |

Makes sense indeed, but swerving can put you and others in more danger rather than reduce it. When I did my advanced driving certs working for the state emergency services, their training was always, "Brake, go straight. Don't fuck up anyone else's life."
