Re: Drivers and Cars Crushed at a Moment's Notice
A lorry carrying huge cargo containers skidded out of control before landing on its side and crushing several vehicles that were stopped at traffic lights. Two cars were instantly flattened while a third was hit from the front and sent spinning in the horrifying smash, in Dongguan, a city in China's southern Guangdong Province. Miraculously, everyone survived with four people, including the lorry driver, being taken to hospital with minor injuries. Donguang Police said they suspect the lorry's 65ft crates were overloaded at the time. Its driver, named only as Mr Shen, claims the crash happened after his brakes suddenly stopped responding. In order to avoid ploughing straight through the crossroads, he said he turned his steering wheel and caused the vehicle to topple over. |
